Pressure Field: Strike-by-Strike GEX Map

The Pressure Field is the ladder — every strike, every greek, on one page. Signed bars for gamma, delta, vanna and charm centered on zero, original vs live open interest, walls and flip drawn as rules, and an obligation readout at every strike telling you what dealer hedging must do there, in dollars.

What It Shows

The default Stack view shows signed bars for gamma, delta, vanna and charm at every strike, centered on zero — green for positive, red for negative — with original OI (the prior close) beside live call, put and net OI and the change since the last scan. Gamma Sonar's convention is calls positive, puts negative. The strike with the largest positive gamma is the call wall, where dealers sell into strength and buy into weakness and moves tend to be dampened — resistance mechanics. The strike with the largest negative gamma is the put wall, where dealer hedging chases moves — support mechanics. The flip is the price where net gamma changes sign.

Walls and the flip are drawn as rules across the table, spot as a divider, and the expected-move band is tinted. Single-greek views (Gamma / Delta / Vanna / Charm / OI) run on the same chrome, with a √ or linear bar scale, expiry-composition and cumulative-gamma overlays, and one-click copy of the screen as an image.

The Obligation Readout

Hover any strike for what dealers must do there: the amount of the underlying dealer hedging has to buy or sell to stay hedged as price moves through the strike, in units and dollars — to the next strike and per 1% move. This is the number a desk actually uses, and it's what turns a level on a chart into a stated obligation.

Level Chips and Baselines

Each level chip shows the level's distance from spot in expected moves, its share of the board's gamma, and its move since the open. Because every strike's gamma is captured at 9:30 and at the prior close, the ladder can say "vs open" and "vs yesterday" everywhere — so "building" and "bleeding" are measured, not eyeballed. The Flow Tape's opening/closing classification is what feeds those deltas.

Expiry Selection

Not all gamma is equal. Choose expiries with presets (0DTE / weekly / monthly), a calendar of every expiry on the board with open interest per date, or Ctrl-click any combination — the whole page recomputes for the selection. 0DTE gamma has the most immediate structural impact; monthlies carry the most open interest. Viewing them separately reveals which horizon is driving the current structure. The regime tells you how to read what you see.

What to Expect

The Pressure Field is most informative when price is trading near areas of concentrated positioning. When price is far from any major gamma concentration, the structural influence of dealer hedging is smaller relative to other market forces. Greeks are recomputed every 60 seconds from live spot and live implied vol across all 103 tickers.

The Pressure Field is a structural map, not a trading signal. GEX values are estimates based on positioning models and the assumption that dealers are net short options. Levels shown are not guaranteed support or resistance.
